Dr. Randall Garcia of Garcia Dental Care grew up in Las Vegas, NM, where he attended Robertson High School. He attended the New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM, where he played college tennis. Later, he transferred to New Mexico Highlands University and continued on to the Prestigious Jesuit Dental School, Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. There, he received his doctorate degree in dental surgery in 1990. He moved back to his hometown of Las Vegas, NM, to be close to family and serve his community.
Dr. Garcia is an extremely gentle and caring dentist who uses the most advanced and effective materials and procedures available. He is excellent with injections (as close to pain-free as they get). Dr. Garcia practices comfortable health-centered dentistry with a strong emphasis on treating the overall health and well-being of each patient.
In addition to his technical proficiency, Dr. Garcia is a careful listener, and he thoroughly explains beforehand what treatment is best suited for your individual needs. This is all while giving the patients treatment options to help fit their personal circumstances.
His passion for the dental profession and his love for helping people are evident each day as he provides the best for his patients. On his free time, Dr. Garcia enjoys playing tennis, cycling, hiking, fishing, woodworking, reading, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Garcia is always looking for opportunities to better serve and treat his patients. Throughout his career, he has taken many advanced continuing education courses. He is acknowledged by the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain in treating temporal mandibular disorders (TMD). He is also acknowledged by the Mid-American Orthodontic Society for his completion and certification in the treatment of advanced orthodontics and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, as well as for receiving his preceptorship in Dental Implantology for the Placement and Restoration of Dental Implants from the University of Texas in San Antonio.
Dr. Garcia is a member of AODSM (American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine) and has completed advanced training and education for the testing and treatment of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) using oral appliance therapy. In addition, Dr. Garcia is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association), NMDA (New Mexico Dental Association), and IAO (International Association for Orthodontics).
